A baseball-themed playground honoring Negro League Hall of Famer Leon Day, built as part of Baltimore’s «Rec Rollout» initiative. The play space features KOMPAN’s Explorer Dome and Mini Dome climbing structures, a creative «Concession Stand» Play Hut, and Basket Swing. The baseball theme is woven throughout with custom panels, diamond-shaped layouts, and interpretive signage celebrating Day’s legacy. The project demonstrates how playgrounds can serve as community landmarks that educate and inspire.
